February: Two wind turbines of the type Vestas V90 2 MW are installed in Neykovo, near the Bulgarian Black Sea Coast; another 15 turbines are projected. Foundation of the operating company O&M Simonsfeld e.o.o.d. in Bulgaria. Windkraft Simonsfeld will be in charge of the maintenance and operation of its own and other turbines in the Dobrich region.
May: On May 9, the Annual General Meeting of Windkraft Simonsfeld GmbH & Co KG decides to change the legal form of the company to a stock corporation, to become legally effective retroactively as of January 1, 2009.
September: Am 25. September erfolgt die Eintragung der Windkraft Simonsfeld AG ins Firmenbuch.
November: Per Beschluss der außerordentlichen Hauptversammlung vom 6. November werden die Kommanditisten zu Aktionären der Windkraft Simonsfeld AG.
